Correct answer: C. A side road ahead, where traffic may turn or enter
Why
This Side Road sign warns of an intersection ahead where a road joins yours from the right. Vehicles may enter your road from it, and vehicles ahead of you may slow down to turn into it. Watch the side road, cover the brake and keep a safe gap. The Cross Road sign looks similar but shows roads on both sides.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. Wrong: a lane that ends has its own Lane Ends sign; this symbol shows a road that joins yours.
- B. Wrong: a crossroad is shown by the Cross Road sign, with roads on both sides of the line.
- D. Wrong: your road continues; the T-Intersection sign shows the through line ending at a cross road.
