Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
Light rain is falling as you pass this sign. What is the best way to drive through the next section of road?

Correct answer: Slow down, and brake, steer and speed up gently
Why
A wet road gives the tires less grip, and at higher speeds the tires can ride on a layer of water so that you lose steering control. Utah law requires a speed that is reasonable for the weather and the road, so the safe speed here may be well below the posted limit. If the car starts to skid, ease off the gas and steer gently in the direction you want to go.
