Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
The speed limit on this highway is 55 mph. You see this sign before a curve. What should you do?

Correct answer: Slow to 25 mph or less before you enter the curve, even in good weather
Why
An advisory speed is not a posted limit, but the basic speed law says that you may never drive faster than is reasonable and prudent, especially when you approach and go around a curve. The handbook says never to exceed a speed that a sign shows as the maximum safe speed. Slow down before the curve, not in it.
