Passing target: 80% (16/20)
On a road with two lanes in your direction, a motorcycle rides in the left part of your lane ahead of you. You want to pass it. What should you do?
A follows motorcycle B in the right of two same-direction lanes. B occupies the left part of A's lane.
Correct answer: Change lanes completely to pass, and do not cut back in too closely
Why
Riders change position within the lane so that other drivers can see them and to avoid wind, debris and passing vehicles. That is why a motorcycle needs the whole lane, even when it rides near one side. A motorcycle can look farther away than it is, so check your mirrors and blind spot carefully before you move back into the lane.
