You approach a two-lane roundabout that has no lane signs or pavement arrows. You plan to take the exit that is a left turn. Which lane should you enter from?
Two lanes approach a two-lane roundabout from the left. The approach is identified, but no car, selected lane, lane signs or pavement arrows appear. A card gives the planned left exit.
Correct answer: The left lane, because without signs it serves left turns and through traffic.
Why
In a two-lane roundabout without signs or arrows, the right lane is for right turns and going straight, and the left lane is for left turns and going straight. Pick your lane before you enter, because the manual says drivers may not change lanes inside the roundabout. Yield to traffic already circulating, and check your mirror and blind spot before you exit from the inside lane.
