Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You drive toward a school bus on a road with two marked lanes in each direction and no median. The bus stops on the other side of the road. Its red lights flash and its stop sign is out. Which drivers must stop?
Four marked lanes share one road with a double yellow center and no median. A approaches northbound; bus B and the two cars behind it face south.
Correct answer: Only the drivers who travel in the same direction as the bus
Why
On a two-lane road, all traffic in both directions stops for a school bus with flashing red lights. On a road with three or more marked lanes, or with directions separated by a median or barrier, only the traffic behind the bus must stop. Even when you need not stop, drive with care and watch for children near the road.
