Sharing the RoadStandalone practice
You turn onto a downtown street that the city has posted as a shared street. People walk, ride bicycles and ride scooters in the same space as cars. Who must yield the right-of-way?
Correct answer: You must yield to the pedestrians, bicyclists and scooter riders
Why
Since 27 July 2025, cities can designate some non-arterial streets as shared streets with signs and other traffic control devices. A city can set a speed limit as low as 10 mph there. Drive slowly and expect people anywhere on the street.
