Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You plan to turn right into a driveway on a city street. Under Washington law, for at least how much distance before the turn must your turn signal be on?
A approaches a driveway on the right. No signal-distance value is shown in the question.
Correct answer: The last 100 feet before the turn
Why
A signal tells other drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians what you plan to do, so they can adjust in time. The same law also requires a signal before you stop or slow down suddenly, when you have a chance to give one. After you signal, look for a safe gap and check for pedestrians and bicyclists in or near your path.
