You drive on a two-way road with one lane in each direction, and you will turn left onto another two-way road. Where should you start and finish the turn?
An empty intersection shows two two-way streets, each with one lane in each direction. The card states that A plans a left turn, without drawing an approach position or path.
Correct answer: Start close to the center line, and finish in the right half of the new road.
Why
For a left turn between two-way roads, move close to the center line on your side before the intersection, so that your position shows other drivers that you will turn left. Then turn so that you enter the new road to the right of its center line, without cutting the corner. A driver who cuts the corner can meet vehicles that wait at the stop line of the road being entered.
