Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You approach tracks marked with a white X-shaped RAILROAD CROSSING sign. There are no lights or gates. Traffic ahead is slow, and the car in front of you has just crossed the tracks with little room behind it. What should you do?

Correct answer: Wait before the tracks until there is room for your whole vehicle past them
Why
A crossbuck marks a railroad crossing, and you must yield to all trains. When there are two or more tracks, a sign under the crossbuck shows the number of tracks, and a second train can come on another track. If lights flash, a gate is down or a train is near, the law requires you to stop between 15 and 50 feet from the nearest rail. A train cannot stop quickly, so never let traffic trap you on the tracks.
