You stop at the stop line at a stop sign. Cross traffic does not stop at this corner, and a building blocks your view to the left. What should you do next?
A is stopped at a white line well back from a STOP intersection. A building on the near left corner blocks the view along the cross street. No creep path or second stop point is marked.
Correct answer: Move forward slowly until you can see, stop again, and go when the cross traffic is clear.
Why
Trees, buildings and parked vehicles often block the view at corners, so the stop line is not always a good place to look from. Creep forward in small steps, and be ready to stop if a vehicle, a bicyclist or a pedestrian appears. Drivers on the cross street have no stop sign, so they do not expect you to pull out.
