Passing target: 80% (52/65)
Driver A comes from the south, and Driver B comes from the east. They reach an intersection with no signs or signals at about the same time. Who must yield?
A comes north from the south approach and B comes west from the east approach. They arrive together at an intersection with no signs or signals. Neither car has a priority halo.
Correct answer: Driver A, because Driver B is approaching from Driver A's right.
Why
This rule applies when no sign, signal or officer controls the intersection and the drivers arrive at about the same time. The handbook warns you not to assume that the other driver will yield, so Driver B must still watch Driver A. A driver who goes faster than the law allows loses any right-of-way that he or she would have had.
