Weather, Visibility & EmergenciesStandalone practice
When does Wyoming law require you to drive with your headlights on?
Correct answer: From ½ hour after sunset to ½ hour before sunrise, and when you cannot see 1,000 feet ahead.
Why
Wyoming law sets two headlight tests: the time of day, from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise, and visibility, whenever people and vehicles are not clearly visible 1,000 feet ahead. Headlights help you see and help others see you, so turn on low beams when light begins to fade. Parking lights alone are not legal for driving when headlights are required.
