Alberta Learner's Test in Punjabi and Other Languages (25 Languages)

informational·how to guide·

Where the Alberta test language rules come from

The language list, the audio test, the paper dictionary, the oral test and the translator rules come from the Alberta driver's knowledge test page of Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors. The fees come from the Registry Agent Product Catalogue (effective October 1, 2026). The Driver's Guide (Spring 2026) also lists the 25 languages. The rules and fees in this post are current as of 2026. Confirm the rules with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors (alberta.ca) before you drive.

How the Class 7 audio test works in your language

You take the knowledge test on a computer at an Alberta registry agent office. At the test station, an audio device reads each question and its answer choices to you through headphones. Some registry offices may charge a fee for disposable headphones. The test has 30 multiple-choice questions, and you need 25 correct answers to pass. The Class 7 knowledge test guide explains the questions and the pass mark.
