Smoke begins coming from your car while you are driving. What should you do?
Correct answer: Pull off, turn off the engine, move away, and call 911.
Why
Pull safely off the road and switch off the engine. Get everyone away from the vehicle and traffic, and call 911. Do not try to fight a vehicle fire yourself. This is an exception to staying inside a normally disabled vehicle when there is no immediate danger.
