Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
You are waiting to turn left across oncoming traffic. No protected turn signal gives you priority. What must you do?
Blue car A faces east in its lane before a four-arm intersection and intends to turn left. Silver car B approaches from the opposite direction, facing west in its lane.
Correct answer: Yield to oncoming traffic close enough to be a hazard, then turn.
Why
Yield to an oncoming vehicle already in the intersection or close enough to be an immediate hazard. Also protect crossing pedestrians. A turn signal states your intention; neither displaying it for a long time nor arriving first makes an unsafe turn lawful.
