Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
You are in the proper right-turn lane at a steady circular red light. No sign prohibits a right turn. What must you do before turning?
A north-facing blue car approaches a circular red signal in the right lane. The intersection has no turn-prohibition sign.
Correct answer: Stop fully, yield to pedestrians and traffic, and turn only when safe.
Why
First make the complete stop at the required location. Yield to pedestrians lawfully in the adjacent crosswalk and to traffic lawfully using the intersection. Turn only when safe, following the normal course close to the right curb or edge and the nearest lawful lane unless lane controls direct otherwise.
