Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You are driving your mother's car, which has a disabled parking placard, to run an errand alone. May you park in a space reserved for people with disabilities?
Correct answer: No, unless your mother is riding with you or is being dropped off or picked up
Why
Disabled parking spaces and their striped access aisles give people with disabilities room to get in and out safely. Misuse can bring a fine, and the placard should hang from the mirror only while the vehicle is parked in such a space. Park elsewhere when you are alone, even for a short stop.
