Passing target: 80% (20/25)
You are driving on a two-way street and see an open parking spot along the left curb. What should you do?
A travels to the right on a two-way street. An open parking area is on the opposite curb, facing approaching B.
Correct answer: Look for a space on the right side, facing the same way as traffic
Why
A car parked on the left side of a two-way street faces oncoming traffic, so its lights and reflectors point the wrong way, and pulling in or out means crossing the opposing lane. RSMo 304.015 requires a stopped vehicle to sit as close to the right-hand edge as practicable. The exception is a one-way street, where the guide says you may normally park on either side.
