A motorcycle ahead of you is riding in the left part of your lane, leaving open space on its right. Traffic in the next lane is heavy. What should you do?
A follows a motorcycle riding near the left edge of their lane. Cars occupy the adjacent lane.
Correct answer: Stay behind it and pass only by moving all the way into the next lane
Why
A motorcycle is a full vehicle with the use of a full lane. Riders use the whole width, moving left or right to see and be seen, to avoid road hazards and to handle gusts of wind. Treat a motorcycle ahead the way you would treat a car: follow it at a safe distance, and pass only when you can use another lane.
