Ava got her POP last month. She wants to drive three friends, all age 17, to school with no adult in the car. What does Nebraska allow?
Correct answer: Only one of the friends may ride with her
Why
Teen passengers can distract a new driver and raise the crash risk. Immediate family members do not count toward this limit. After six months the passenger limit ends, but the nighttime limit stays for as long as you hold the POP. Every person who rides with a POP holder must wear a seat belt.
