Before you can get a Provisional Operator's Permit (POP), how long must you have held an LPE, SCP or LPD?
Correct answer: Six months
Why
The six-month period gives time for supervised practice in many kinds of weather and traffic. Three or more points on your record in the six months before you apply will block the POP. You may apply up to 60 days before your 16th birthday, but the POP is issued only on or after that birthday.
