You drive up a hill on a two-lane road behind a slow truck. You cannot see the road on the other side of the top. What should you do?
A follows slow truck B toward the top of a hill. A side-profile inset identifies the crest that blocks a view beyond it.
Correct answer: Stay in your lane behind the truck until you can see the road ahead.
Why
The top of a hill hides everything beyond it: oncoming cars, a stopped vehicle or a person on the road. Nevada law requires drivers to slow down as they approach a hill crest, even below the speed limit. Keep a larger gap behind the truck, so that you can see past it when the road levels out.
