Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You are looking for the way onto a divided highway. At one ramp, a sign shows a white horizontal bar in a red circle with the words DO NOT ENTER. What does this tell you?

Correct answer: Entering here would put you against traffic, so do not enter from this side
Why
You will see DO NOT ENTER signs at the wrong end of exit ramps, at crossovers on divided roads, and on one-way streets. A driver who enters there meets traffic head-on, one of the most dangerous kinds of crash. New Mexico law also requires you to drive only in the posted direction on a one-way road.
