Signs and arrows show two left-turn lanes. You are in the left one of the two. How should you make the turn?
A is in the left of two marked left-turn lanes, with B in the lane to its right. Broken white guidance lines continue around the turn.
Correct answer: Stay in your lane through the turn and enter the matching lane.
Why
When two or more lanes may turn at the same time, each driver must keep to their own lane from start to finish, because another vehicle is turning beside you. Once the turn is complete, you may change lanes if you need to, after signaling and checking your mirrors and blind spot. Swinging wide or cutting across the other turn lane can cause a side-swipe crash.
