School Zones, Railways & Work AreasStandalone practice
You are following a school bus on a two-lane road when you pass this sign. What should you expect, and what should you do?

Correct answer: Slow down, be ready to stop, and expect the bus to stop before the tracks
Why
In New York, school buses, other buses with passengers and vehicles that carry explosives or flammable cargo must stop at railroad crossings, so leave extra space behind them. At the crossing, you must stop at least 15 feet from the nearest rail when lights flash, a gate is down, or a train is near. Never try to cross unless your whole vehicle can clear all of the tracks.
