Your car's turn signal lights stop working, and you need to turn right at the next corner. How do you give a right-turn hand signal?
Three driver left-arm positions are shown without a preferred choice: straight out, bent upward, and bent downward. A card states that the driver needs to turn right and the turn-signal lights have failed.
Correct answer: Put your left arm out the window, with the forearm and hand pointing up
Why
Hand signals are given from the driver's window so that drivers behind you can see them. Keep the signal going for at least the last 100 feet before you turn or stop. A bicyclist may also signal a right turn by pointing the right arm straight out to the right.
