Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
Your street ends at a T-intersection with a through street. There are no signs or signals. A car on the through street is coming from your left at about the same time that you arrive. Who must yield?
A approaches the end of its street at a T-intersection without signs or signals. B comes from A’s left along the continuous street; the card states that they arrive at about the same time.
Correct answer: You must, because your street is the one that ends.
Why
Drivers on the through street do not expect to stop for traffic from the end of the T. The usual driver-on-the-right tiebreaker does not change this. Slow down, look left, right and left again, and enter only when there is a safe gap.

A storm has knocked out power, and the traffic signals at a busy intersection are completely dark. No officer is directing traffic. What should you do?On a two-lane county highway, you come to a crash scene. A sheriff's car is parked there with its red and blue lights flashing. No officer is directing traffic. What does North Dakota law require? You come to a single-lane roundabout. A pedestrian waits at the crosswalk before the entry, and a car that is already in the roundabout is coming toward your entry from the left. What is the correct order? You drive out of a store parking lot in a business district. A sidewalk crosses the exit, and nobody is on it. Beyond it is a busy street. What must you do?You are on a one-way street at a steady red light. You want to turn left onto another one-way street whose traffic moves to the left. No sign prohibits the turn. What may you do?You wait in the intersection to turn left on a green light. An oncoming car is close and coming fast, and there is a large gap in traffic behind it. What should you do?
