You stop at the yield line of a single-lane roundabout. Which vehicles must you yield to before you enter?
A waits at the south yield line of a single-lane roundabout. B travels east along the lower part of the circle toward A’s entry; white lane arrows show counterclockwise circulation.
Correct answer: Vehicles already in the roundabout, which come toward you from your left.
Why
Slow down as you approach, and be ready to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk before the yield line. Look left and wait for a gap that lets you enter without making circulating traffic slow down or stop; once inside, you have the right-of-way, and you signal right before your exit. If an emergency vehicle approaches, do not enter; if you are already inside, exit first and then pull over.
