Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You drive past your destination on a city street. At the next intersection, a white sign shows a black U-shaped arrow with a red circle and slash over it. What should you do to go back?

Correct answer: Drive on and use a legal route, such as a trip around the block.
Why
A red circle with a slash over a symbol means that the action in the symbol is not allowed. Where no sign bans it, a U-turn is legal only when you can make it safely and without interfering with other traffic. Pennsylvania also bans turning around on a curve or near the top of a hill where other drivers cannot see your vehicle from 500 feet away.
