Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You stop at a T intersection and plan to turn left onto the cross street. Across the intersection you see this sign: a black rectangle with a white arrow that points to the right and the words ONE WAY. What should you do?

Correct answer: Turn right instead, because traffic on that street goes only to your right.
Why
Another clue that a street is one-way is a row of parked cars on both sides that all face the same direction. At a divided highway you will often see ONE WAY, DO NOT ENTER and WRONG WAY signs together. If you ever enter a one-way street the wrong way, pull over safely and turn around at once.
