Turns Lanes PassingStandalone practice
You are approaching a planned turn in normal conditions. When should you begin signalling?
Correct answer: At least 30 metres before the turn
Why
For a planned turn, start signalling at least 30 metres before turning and give other road users sufficient warning. Continue the signal until entering the turn. More warning may be needed at higher speeds; the handbook advises at least 150 metres on highways. A signal does not replace observation or make an unsafe turn permissible.
