Passing target: 20 correct signs and 20 correct rules
In SGI's two-point-turn method using a side road on your right, which sequence changes your direction after you safely pass that road and stop?
A car faces east just beyond a side road joining from its right, preparing for a two-point turn after checking traffic.
Correct answer: Reverse slowly into the side road, stop, then turn left forward when clear.
Why
First choose a location with enough clear sight distance and room for the manoeuvre. After safely passing the side road and stopping far right, signal right or use four-way flashers and check traffic. Back slowly, turning right when the rear bumper is even with the intersection. Watch that the front does not swing into traffic. Straighten in the side road and stop. Then signal left, check again and drive forward through a left turn into the left driving lane in the new direction.
