Passing target: 20 correct signs and 20 correct rules
At an ordinary intersection with one right-turn path, where should A position the car before turning right?
An unoccupied intersection has one approach lane in each direction on the horizontal road and two lanes each way on the vertical road.
Correct answer: As close as safely possible to the right curb or road edge.
Why
Plan the turn early, signal, check mirrors and the right blind spot, then move close to the right curb or edge when safe. Check for cyclists, pedestrians and other hazards again before turning. Complete the ordinary right turn into the first available driving lane. Where signs or markings designate multiple turning lanes, follow the designated lane path.
