Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You are travelling at 80 km/h and preparing to turn at an upcoming corner. Under SGI’s signalling guideline, how far before the corner should you signal?
Correct answer: At least 150 m.
Why
Signal before the turn so others have time to understand your intention. SGI gives a guideline of at least 30 m when travelling below 60 km/h and at least 150 m at higher speeds. Check mirrors and the relevant blind spot, make the turn only when safe, and cancel the signal afterwards. Signalling does not grant right of way.
