Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You drive down an entrance ramp onto the interstate. Traffic is heavy, and you see no gap yet in the right lane. What should you do?
Blue car A is early in an interstate acceleration lane while a line of vehicles fills the right lane.
Correct answer: Slow down early on the ramp and keep moving, so you keep room to speed up.
Why
When you enter an interstate, you do the opposite of what you do at most busy roads: you speed up, not slow down. Use the acceleration lane to reach the speed of traffic, signal left, and merge into a safe gap. Drivers already on the interstate should make room when they can, but the duty to yield is yours.
