Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You drive on a two-lane, two-way road and pass a yellow diamond sign. It shows two black lines that split around a black island shape ahead. What should you expect after this point?

Correct answer: A median will separate the two directions; keep to the right-hand roadway
Why
On a divided highway, Texas law requires you to drive on the right-hand roadway and to cross the median only at an opening, a crossover or an intersection. At the start of the median you may also see a sign that tells you to keep right of it. A median helps prevent head-on crashes, so plan your left turns for the median openings.
