Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
On a freeway, you drive in the right lane. Above your lane is this green sign with a down arrow and a yellow panel that reads EXIT ONLY. You want to stay on the freeway. What should you do?

Correct answer: Move left to a through lane early, when it is safe
Why
An EXIT ONLY lane leaves the freeway with the ramp, so every car in it must exit. Guide signs are placed well before the exit, often 1,000 yards or more ahead, to give you time to change lanes calmly. If you miss your chance to move over, take the exit and find your way back, instead of cutting across lanes at the last second.
