Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
On a two-lane road, you pass a yellow diamond that reads NARROW BRIDGE. An oncoming pickup will reach the bridge ahead at about the same time as you. What should you do?

Correct answer: Slow down, keep right, and be ready to wait until the pickup is across
Why
A narrow bridge leaves little room between you, the bridge rail and oncoming traffic. Texas law requires a reduced speed on a narrow roadway, and it bans driving on the left side within 100 feet of a bridge. Striped markers often show where the bridge rails begin. Slow down early so that you have time to decide whether both vehicles can cross safely.
