You are moving to a new home. Boxes stacked on the front passenger seat block your view through the right side window and of the right outside mirror. What should you do before you drive?
From the driver's seat, two cardboard boxes are stacked on the front passenger seat. They hide the right side window and right outside mirror. The windshield and dashboard remain visible.
Correct answer: Move or remove the boxes so that they do not block your view
Why
Before each trip, adjust your seat and mirrors so that you can see clearly, and make sure that nothing in the car blocks your view. Utah law does not let a person drive when a load, or more than three people in the front seat, blocks the driver's view to the front or sides or interferes with control of the vehicle. Put large items in the trunk or cargo area, and secure them so that they cannot move in a sudden stop.
