Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
You are stopped at a stop sign and are about to drive straight across a two-way street. In what order should you look for traffic?
A is stopped before a stop line and STOP sign, facing a clear two-way cross street.
Correct answer: Left, then right, then left again just before you go
Why
Vehicles from the left are in the lane nearest to you, so they are the first danger when you pull out. Also look for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcycles, which are easy to miss. Do this check at any place where others can cross your path, such as driveways and shopping center exits.
