Passing target: 85% (34/40)
Your street meets a through road at a T intersection. There are no signs or signals. You want to turn right, and a car on the through road comes from your left at the same time. Who must yield?
A approaches from the ending road at an uncontrolled T. B approaches on the through road from A’s left.
Correct answer: You must yield, because your road ends at the through road
Why
At a T intersection, one road ends and the other road continues. The T Intersection warning sign tells you that your road ends ahead at a stop sign; there you turn right or left after you yield to traffic and pedestrians. Without a sign, Virginia law still gives the right-of-way to the traffic on the through road (§ 46.2-824).
