Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
You approach an intersection where the traffic signal facing you is flashing yellow. What should you do?

Correct answer: Slow down, watch for cross traffic and pedestrians, and go through with care.
Why
Flashing signals are common at night, during low traffic, and in emergencies. Under section 304.301, RSMo, a flashing yellow light lets you pass the signal only with caution, and a flashing red light means stop as at a stop sign. A flashing yellow light does not give you the right-of-way, so be ready to stop for a vehicle or pedestrian that is already in the intersection.
