Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You are about to back out of your driveway. Children were playing in the yard a few minutes ago, and your car has a rearview camera. What should you do first?
A is in a driveway facing away from the street. The card says children played nearby recently and that A has a rearview camera. No child is invented or shown hidden behind the car.
Correct answer: Walk around the car and check the space behind it on foot before you get in.
Why
A small child can walk behind a car in seconds and is too short to show in the rear window. Mirrors and cameras help, but each one leaves areas that you cannot see. Check behind the car before you get in, then back up slowly and keep looking to the rear.
