In a parking lot, you see an open angle parking space ahead on your right. Which order of steps is correct for pulling into it?
A travels along a parking-lot aisle. White lines outline empty angled spaces ahead on the right; the question image shows no selected entry path.
Correct answer: Check traffic and signal, move in slowly while you steer, center the car, then stop and secure it.
Why
Parking lots mix moving cars, backing cars and people on foot, so each step must be slow and easy for others to predict. A signal tells others where you will turn, and a slow entry gives you time to stop if a person walks out between parked cars. Stop with the car centered in the space, so that it does not block the spaces or the lane next to it.
