Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You drive in the left lane and are close to an intersection. The light is green, and you want to go straight. A sign above your lane reads LEFT LANE MUST TURN LEFT. The lane to your right is full of traffic. What should you do?

Correct answer: Turn left, and then use other streets to get back to your route.
Why
Lane-use signs and pavement arrows tell you which movement each lane allows. Look for them early and move into the correct lane well before the intersection. A different route costs a few minutes, but a last-minute lane change can cause a crash.
