School Zones, Railways & Work AreasStandalone practice
In a work zone, you come up to this barricade. Its orange and white stripes slope downward toward the right. Which way should you go?

Correct answer: Bear to the right of the barricade
Why
The stripes on barricades and vertical panels act like arrows: they slope down toward the side where traffic should pass. Read the stripes early, slow down, and move over smoothly so that the drivers around you have time to react. Keep the lower speed until a sign shows the end of the work zone, and go back to your normal lane only after you check the traffic behind you.
