Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You missed your street and want to go back the way you came. At the next intersection, a white sign shows a black U-shaped arrow with a red circle and slash across it. No oncoming traffic is in sight. What should you do?

Correct answer: Do not turn around here; go on and turn around at a legal, safe place
Why
A red circle with a slash always means that the movement inside it is not allowed, and you must obey regulatory signs in the same way as traffic laws. An empty road does not cancel the sign. A safe way back is to go around the block, or to turn around at a place where no sign bans it and drivers from both directions can see you from far away.
