Correct answer: D. Traffic may not enter from this direction.
Why
A red circle with a white bar and the words DO NOT ENTER means you must not enter the road from this direction. It faces traffic that would go the wrong way onto a one-way road, a divided highway or a ramp. Find another route. A WRONG WAY sign, a red rectangle, can stand farther along the same road. If you see it, you are going against traffic: stop safely and turn around.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. This is not a STOP sign; you may not enter from this direction at all.
- B. The sign applies to all vehicles; the sign that bans trucks shows a truck symbol under a red circle and slash.
- C. A closed road uses a ROAD CLOSED sign; this sign faces traffic that would go the wrong way.
