Correct answer: C. Pass to the right of the island.
Why
This white sign is a Keep Right sign. It is a regulatory sign, so you must obey it. Pass the island, median or obstruction on its right-hand side. Do not go around it on the left. A Keep Left sign shows the arrow on the left side of the shape. A yellow Double Arrow sign is different: it shows that you may pass on either side.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. A sign that lets traffic pass on either side is the yellow Double Arrow sign, with arrows that point both ways.
- B. The arrow shows the path around the island, not a turn onto another street.
- D. Passing on the left is what a Keep Left sign directs; on this sign the arrow goes around the right side of the shape.
